- Renew your IP
  
  You must pay the appropriate renewal fees on time to maintain your IP rights. All four IP rights require periodic registration renewal.

  All IP rights can be considered for amendment. All amendment requests will be assessed by an examiner.

FOR IP PROFESSIONALS

Amend your IP

All IP rights can be considered for amendment by sending us a written request.

Any request for an amendment to a patent, trade mark, design or plant breeder's right will be assessed by an examiner.

Various patents amendment forms are available, which you can submit via eServices using the General eService Request suite. Alternatively you can print them out and post to us.

There are various restrictions and conditions associated with amending trade marks.

Certain amendments can be made to design applications prior to registration, but the amendment can not alter the scope of what was originally lodged.

Amendments to Plant Breeder's Rights can be submitted via eServices, or sent via post.
