The article really doesn't talk about actually placing an article into a category. Can someone clarify please?

i don't see the drop downthing

There will be a drop down menu when you're editing an article in guided editing. In advanced editing, you'll have to manually type in the category by entering [[Category:_______]].

What about articles that fit in more than one category?

Well, maybe I'm too stupid, but when I click 'Edit' in an article, as it says: '1. Click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the article', I do NOT get any drop downs on the left. It looks different than shown in the screen copy, too. I spent 10 minutes with it, but I have still no idea how to Categorize an article. Could someone who knows how it *really* works update this how-to?

how long after i publish an article could i add categories, i dont see the option to add any, do i have to wait or did i do something wrong
