For many coders today, it is nice to have more efficient access to web-based source code through Android. There are many different ways to accomplish this task. However, not all of them can be summed up in just a few short steps.

Method 1 of 2: Using VT View Source

    Download and install VT View Source app. If you don’t have this app yet on your Android device, you can download it from Google Play.

    Launch the app. Locate VT View Source in the app drawer or home screen, and tap it.

    Enter a URL. Once the application loads, there should be a small box that says “http”//example.com/.” Tap the box, and enter the URL of the website you would like to view, and hit “OK.”

    Read the code. Depending on the content of the page that is being loaded, the app may take a few seconds to load. Once it does, however, the code will be color coded and ready for easy viewing and sharing.

Method 2 of 2: Using HTML Source Viewer

    Download and install the HTML Source Viewer app. If you don’t have this app yet on your Android device, you can download it from Google Play.

    Launch the app. Locate HTML Source Viewer in the app drawer or home screen, and tap it.

    Type in a URL to display the source. Once the app loads, there should be a small box that says “E.g., yoursite.com.” Tap the box, and enter the URL of the web address you want to view and hit “Show source.”

    Read the code. Depending on the content of the page that is being loaded, the app may take a few seconds to load. Once it does, the code will be color coded and ready for easy viewing and sharing.
