Request It
You have several means of requesting items through the University Libraries.
Holds/Recall
You
may request any circulating item from any campus or USMAI library through the
catalog, whether it is on the shelf or checked out. Items on hold in
the McKeldin Library are now located across from the Circulation Desk in the
Self-Service Holds Shelving.
UMD Faculty & Staff - Try the
Department
Delivery option for requested items.
Off-Site Shelving
Request materials housed in off-site shelving.
NOTE: If you want to request a book that can be checked out of the library and
you have a valid USMAI borrower's card, do NOT use this form. Use the "Request"
function in the Catalog record for the item.
UBorrow
A service of the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC). Search for and request print books directly from 15 major university libraries and the Center for Research Libraries, with combined collections of more than 90 million volumes.
Interlibrary Loan
Borrow materials and request articles from journals that are not held in the USMAI system.
