How to Enable Autoplay in Windows 7
One of the many features that are included in Windows operating systems (starting from Windows XP) is AutoPlay. When a CD, DVD, or flash drive is inserted into the computer, a list of options and tasks related to it will appear.
Steps

1Click 'Start' or the 'Windows' button on the keyboard. This will open the Start Menu.

2Click 'Control Panel'. A window will open in which all of the settings for the computer can be accessed and changed here.

3Click 'Hardware and Sound'. All hardware-related settings can be changed here.

4Click 'AutoPlay'. You will be brought to a page with a series of check boxes and device types.

5Make sure the box labeled 'Use AutoPlay for all media and devices' is checked. If it is checked, AutoPlay is already enabled.

6Click 'Save'. (It is located in the bottom-right corner.) This will apply the new setting, enabling AutoPlay.

- This is the same method to disable AutoPlay.
