LOUD is a customized Ubuntu distribution that is used by the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at West Virginia University. LOUD is used to maintain the public and teaching computing labs. The goal of the LOUD Platform Project is to make LOUD accessible by making it easy to run LOUD in a virtual machine. This will allow users to install and use LOUD without disturbing the underlying operating system. What the user gets is a fully customized out of the box environment that mimics the exact setup used in the LCSEE computing labs.
