The 2014 WIPO General Assembly did not make a decision on the work program of the IGC for 2015. Therefore, the calendar of the provisional dates for the principal committees and bodies of WIPO for 2015 does not include any IGC sessions.
The WIPO Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore is, in accordance with its mandate 
, undertaking text-based negotiations with the objective of reaching agreement on a text(s) of an international legal instrument(s), which will ensure the effective protection of traditional knowledge (TK), traditional cultural expressions (TCEs) and genetic resources (GRs).
