User:Calidum
Calidum (formerly Hot Stop) is a Wikipedian from the United States, specifically the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He first joined the site in April 2011. Prior to signing up for an account, he read Wikipedia in his free time and even followed some discussions on site, occasionally editing anonymously. Calidum is mostly a WikiGnome, meaning his main contributions are to fighting vandalism and minor copy-editing. A frequent participant at Wikipedia: In the news, Calidum also likes to weigh in on move requests and is known to make non-admin closures to less contentious discussions.
Since joining Wikipedia, Calidum has authored two articles. He wrote Charles II de Cossé, Duke of Brissac on July 17, 2011 and George Godsey on September 20, 2011. The latter would go on to appear on the Main Page's "Did You Know" section four days after being written.
Later in 2011, He decided to run for Arbitration Committee; it didn't end so well. In the election Calidum (Hot Stop at the time) ended up dead last. He decided to not run in again the next two years, instead opting to endorse candidates publicly in 2012 and 2013. Calidum made another unsuccessful run in 2014. He finished last again that year.
Calidum has held reviewer rights on Wikipedia since December 1, 2012, and rollbacker rights since April 30, 2014. He is also among the top 7,000 Wikipedians with the most edits.

common sense
Thank you, Latin hot spot, for quality articles such as George Godsey and (more so) for your tireless gnomish work, dealing with ITN nominations, vandalism, unconstructive editing, page moves and requested moves, for being willing to serve in the toughest job around using the rare term "common sense" in the context, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

| New to Wiki, so, thanks (sorry for the oversight on the media mention but, alas, the undo undid both where the ball went exactly AND the media cite). Glad we got it worked out.
