Richard A. Danner
Archibald C. and Frances Fulk Rufty Research Professor of Law and Senior Associate Dean, Information Services
Dick manages and administers the Duke Law School Information Services team, which includes the Law Library as well as the Academic Technologies department.

Melanie J. Dunshee
Assistant Dean, Library Services and Senior Lecturing Fellow
Melanie is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Library, including developing the collections of print and electronic resources, as well as personnel and facilities matters. Melanie also coordinates initiatives to collect and expose the faculty's scholarship.

Sue is responsible for the Library’s business operations, including payroll and human resources.
Acquisitions

Shyama supervises operations of ordering, claiming and receiving all library materials, including electronic resources, and is responsible for monitoring the library budget and compiling statistical reports.

Kathleen performs tasks related to maintaining and updating the serials collection. She also serves as the troubleshooter for serial claims and other serials problems.

Tonya creates orders for library materials and downloads records for the online catalog. She also receives depository government document shipments and checks in treatise supplements.

Marsha S. Perry
Acquisitions/Serials Accounting Specialist
Marsha is responsible for paying invoices, and maintaining and reconciling financial records for library acquisitions funds. She is also responsible for receiving new acquisitions and solving delivery problems.
Cataloging/Digital Resources

Sean is responsible for the development and maintenance of services to improve access to information resources, including the cataloging of library materials and the support of metadata services for the Law School scholarship repository and library website.

Wickliffe Shreve assists the staff of the J. Michael Goodson Law Library with the organization and acquisition of library materials and resources. He will also provide general reference assistance and work on a number of projects. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Library Science program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Collection Services

Karen manages and administers all aspects of the Collection Services Department, and provides supervision and coordination of borrower services including circulation, reserves, interlibrary loan, and collection management.

Francine is responsible for superseding and updating materials. She also maintains the government documents collection.

Andrea manages bindery operations and Aleph systems support.

Tina Moore
Collection Services Associate, Circulation Manager
Tina manages all circulation functions, including overdues and hold requests. She is responsible for hiring and training student workers and resolving user problems with circulation functions. Tina also manages the faculty routing service.

Paul is responsible for maintaining the microforms collection, loose-leaf filing, processing of library material and collection maintenance projects.
Digital Initiatives

Hollie White, Ph.D.
Digital Initiatives Librarian
Hollie coordinates and develops the Law School Scholarship Repository and provides digital applications support for faculty scholarship/instruction and library service assessment. She also develops and manages digitization projects for the library.

Lee Cloninger
Digital and Archival Initiatives Associate
Lee performs activities related to collection, organization, and display of Law School history materials and assists in development, management, and support of digital initiatives and projects.

Hannah Koo is an undergraduate Duke student majoring in History with minors in Political Science and French. She will be in the DIL everyday for a few hours working on media preservation reformatting, scanning projects, and writing historic faculty biography statements.

Amanda Tickner
Digital Initiatives Intern
Amanda Tickner is a UNC SILS student with an interest in repositories. Her work with us involves quality control checking between the bibliography and the repository, collecting metadata for the next repository lecture series, and some Python scripting. She will be in the DIL on Fridays for most of the day.
Reference Services

Jennifer L. Behrens
Head, Reference Services and Lecturing Fellow
Jennifer manages and administers all aspects of the Reference Services Department, including the service desk, first-year legal research instruction, and faculty services. She also provides reference assistance, teaches in the first-year and LL.M. legal research programs, and coordinates the library's web presence.

Foreign & International Law Reference Librarian and Lecturing Fellow
Kristina provides general and specialized foreign, comparative & international law reference assistance. She also teaches in the first-year and LL.M. legal research programs.

Jane Bahnson
Reference Librarian and Senior Lecturing Fellow
Jane provides reference assistance and teaches in the first-year and LL.M. legal research programs. She also coordinates the library's Empirical Legal Research Program and Faculty Research Assistants.

Aaron provides general reference assistance and works on a variety of library projects. He is currently completing his final year of a dual J.D. and Master's of Information Science degree program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received a bachelor's degree from Duke University in 2007, majoring in history.

Kelly provides reference assistance and teaches in the first-year and LL.M. legal research programs. She also coordinates the library's New Titles current awareness service for faculty.

Guangya Liu, Ph.D
Empirical Research Analyst and Lecturing Fellow
Ya provides support for empirical research to the Law School faculty, including consultation on coding schemes, location of data sets, analysis of existing data, or interpretation of statistics.

Reference Librarian and Senior Lecturing Fellow
Marguerite provides reference assistance and teaches in the first-year and LL.M. legal research programs. She also coordinates the library's rare book collection.

- Laura provides reference assistance and teaches in the first-year legal research program. She also teaches an advanced course on business law research.
