How to Use Zerg Properly
Zerg originates from Blizzard's game, Starcraft where Zerg was one of 3 playable races, aliens like appearance, Zerg were characterized by using large numbers of weak units to swarm the enemy, also another characteristic of Zerg were that everything was organic, ie, Zerg didn't used machines or any artifacts, they would mutate their own buildings from special kind of larvae and advanced units were created by mutating basic ones. Units were cheap to make and it was possible to make extreme numbers in short period of time. Urban dictionary [1] This article covers battle schemes in the game "Starcraft". It does not cover how to defend your base or how to properly distribute your workers.
EditSteps
-
1Remember, Zerg have the strength of numbers, not power or ability.Ad
-
2Devastating an enemy base can be done by first sending in several waves of Zergling and Hydralisks. Their defense system will be distraught. Try to destroy lots of missile turrets and continue to send in reinforcements. Send in some Ultralisks to provide distraction.
-
3Send in swarms of Scourges to destroy any air units. Remember to bring in a few Overlords as detectors. You can also use Spore colonies by setting up a nearby base.
-
4Set up a hatchery nearby to better reinforce your units. Build some creep colonies and mutate them to fit your needs. You may have to adapt your techniques depending on the situation.
-
5Be sure to always bring an Overlord with an large attack.
-
6Do not EVER use only 1 unit. Even if you're good, and you use 1 unit only, you will almost always lose.
-
7Make many hatcheries for faster unit production.
-
8Build close together. Make sure you have Sunken and some Spore colonies for buildings. If you want to, you can box-in your sunken and put buildings all around it on every side, so the enemy cant get to your sunken colony.Ad

EditTips
- Defilers and Queens are not exactly useless. They are actually one of the best units in the game. Their spells are proven very worthy. With enough macro-management, you can destroy a group of 12 Carriers with only 12 Hydralisks and 1 or 2 Defilers. Just put a Dark Swarm over your hydralisks, select all your hydras, then individually right click on each carrier while holding down SHIFT.
- Do not ALWAYS play FMP (Fastest Map Possible) as they involve nearly NO skill. Their bases are big, you have like unlimited resources, you don't need expansions, the middle bases have an unfair advantage, there is no high ground, and every single base is shaped like a perfect rectangle. And another thing is that your main hatchery/CC/Nexus is right next to the minerals, allowing you to even get 3 gateways at 10/17 supply. Normally, all you can get is 1 Gateway at 10/17 supply. It just doesn't involve skill.
- To improve you HAVE to play on battle.net.
- Know the map you're playing, know how many entrances their are to your base, where are the high grounds, and where your enemy can possibly be.
- Instead of playing FMP, try to play Hunters, or Ladder maps.
EditWarnings
- Always have a strategy that can change quickly. If you're doing mass Zerglings, and he just happens to go mass Firebats, get Hydras. Don't just keep running Zerglings to their death.
