EditSteps
-
1Gather your old children's books together and check their condition.
- Make sure the covers are in fairly good condition.
- Check the inside. Make sure there are no torn, missing or scribbled on pages. you selected is not dirty or scribbled and if they are check one more time and take those books out of that box.
- Recycle unsellable books or use them for other craft projects.
-
2Decide on a price for your books. You could choose to offer a fixed price, like 25p each or 5 for £1. Or you could sell them at 25% of the original price.
-
3Put your books in a strong cardboard box and take them to people you know.
- Tell people why you are selling the books. They might be more willing to buy if they know you have a special purchase or project in mind.
-
4Another option is to try to sell your books on eBay or other online auction site.
- If you do this, be very honest about the condition of the book. If you aren't, customers may return the book and ask for their money back. If you don`t want to that to happen just write no returns accepted (but be warned - many people won't buy from a seller that doesn't accept returns).

EditTips
- Be polite. Do not try to hurry your customers. If they want to look through the books first, let them.
- Make sure your prices are reasonable. After all, you are selling used books which have little or no value to you.
- Try selling bookmarks with your books, too.
