Call for Applications to Exhibit at the 2015 Innovation Festival

September 26-27, 2015
National Museum of American History
Washington, D.C.

The Smithsonian Institution and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) are collaborating to engage the public, scholars, thought leaders, inventors, and innovators in a dialogue about the critical role invention and innovation play in our society. The signature event of the collaboration is the Innovation Festival--an annual celebration of invention, creativity, imagination, and innovation on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. This year’s event will explore how today’s inventors are creating the world of our future. Applications to exhibit at the 2015 festival are now being accepted. The deadline is March 31, 2015.

The Festival celebrates and showcases technological advances made possible, in part, by the mission of the USPTO to protect and promote intellectual property. Festival activities also include displays, presentations, hands-on activities, expert talks, and demonstrations that explore the interdisciplinary nature of innovation across the technological, scientific, artistic, and historical landscape. The Festival provides a special opportunity for the public to meet, learn, and exchange ideas from inventors and innovators while exploring their own creative abilities.
