Giving a "thumbs up" on wikiHow is a good way to let someone know that you thought their edit was great! Spread a little wikiLove by giving thumbs ups out for any edits that help make the page better.

EditMethod 1 of 2: Page History Method

    Go to the article and click on the "History" tab.

    Review the history and select the edit you want to give a thumbs up for. Choose two radio buttons that are next to each other, and then click "Compare selected versions."
    • To see an edit compared to the one before it, you can also select "last" from the left-hand side, next to that revision. This shows a comparison of that edit with the previous version.

    Make sure the edit you've selected is the one you'd like to give the thumbs-up for on this diff page of the change containing the wiki-text of all changes in the article. You are now on a "diff" page which shows an individual edit.
    • If you don't see the right edit in front of you, try pressing the arrows to the left or right to review previous and subsequent edits, until you find the right one.

    Press the thumb button which is the Thumbs-up button for this edit.

EditMethod 2 of 2: Recent Changes Patrol Method

    Go to Recent Changes Patrol. For the edit in front of you, compare the old revision of the page to the new revision. The old revision is on the left, and the new revision is on the right.

  • Thumbs up can only be given to articles in the articlespace-namespace. They can't be given to articles on a Discussion page for an article, on a Userpage or User_talk page, nor can they be given to articles in the wikiHow namespace.
