EditSteps

  1. 1
Always remember to calm down when there is an emergency. Panic does not help you in anything. When you panics less oxygen is sent to your brain which causes you to forget how to escape and what to take with you, so just calm down and think.

  2. 2
Pack a small bag or something that can hold all what you will need. Ex. First aid kit, water, some money, food that never goes bad like dry food etc...
  3. 3
If you live in a big family, remember to have family emergency drills from time to time just to be prepared. Even if you live alone or with one or two other people you still must be prepared.
  4. 4
The first thing you must do when an emergency happens, is to calm down, hurry and grab your packed emergency bag and your pet (if you have one).
    • If you live in a crowded house, then everyone should be calm and one person by one person should go out the door. If you have more than one door that leads to the outside then use both. Also don't forget to call the police or firefighters.
