Follow these steps and you'll be on your way to getting to the top of park play area spider webs and sliding down that pole!

Steps

  1. 1
Start at the lowest possible place. This is usually located at the corners.
  2. 2
Grab a rope near the bottom. Make sure that you're positioned steadily.
  3. 3
Start shuffling upwards on the rope. Keep doing this gradually.
  4. 4
When you see a rope slightly higher than the one you are holding onto, quickly change to holding the new rope. Keep your balance by holding on tight with your hands and arms while changing to the new rope with your legs as well.
  5. 5
When you reach the top, wrap your arms around the pole and slide!

Tips

  • Try to get through the ropes and small holes and spaces to get as close to the centre as possible; this will help you get to the top faster.
  • Wear flat shoes with no socks, as this will give you extra grip.
  • Be confident – but not too confident – because you might distract yourself showing off and fall!

Warnings

  • Try not to fall; falling hurts.
  • When you slide down the pole, it can really burn your hands. To avoid this, try wrapping your arms rather than your hands around the pole, and slide. If you're wearing full sleeves, this is even better for a more smoother slide.
  • If you get stuck, don't panic; just sit down and jump.

Things You'll Need

  • A full sleeved top
  • Flats
