iMyGoals, an online financial planner in India, let's users plan for their financial goals, by taking into consideration many parameters. One of them is their dependents information that needs to be considered while evaluating the financial scenario. Here is a simple step-by-step tutorial on how to add your dependent's information to the plan.

    Login to your iMyGoals account or register as a new user.

    Click on the "Dependents" tab. This is available as the last button in the left menu.

    Click on "Add Dependents" button or the "+" symbol. This will take you to a new page where you will be asked to fill up the necessary details of your dependent e.g. your spouse.

    Fill in your dependent's "Name". You may choose to use the full name or just the first name. This is used in the report to identify the dependent.

    Select the dependent's "Relationship" with you. There is a list of relationships that you can choose from.

    Specify the dependent's "Date of Birth". Click on the "pencil" icon and select the date of birth of the dependent, from the drop-down calendar.

    Select the "Employment" status of your dependent. Make sure you select the current employment status of the dependent.

    Enter "Expected to Live Till" age for your dependent.

    Enter "Share of Total Expense". Provide the percentage share of your dependent's expense in your total expense. As an example, if your expense is Rs. 10,000 and your dependent's expense is Rs.3,000, then enter 30%.
