RailsBridge workshops are a free and fun way to get started or level up with Rails, Ruby, and other web technologies. Our events focus on increasing diversity in tech, so that people of all backgrounds can feel welcome and comfortable in our industry.
Tech Lady Mafia
Tech LadyMafia supports women who work in and around the internet. We are astrophysicists and developers, writers and digital strategists. Alifiyah Ganijee
Alifiyah is a coorganizer of GDG Mombasa which is one of the most active GDG chapters in Kenya. She has recently completed her bachelors in Business Information Technology and is a role model and mentor for other women in the local GDG community.
Kseniia Shumelchyk
Kseniia launched GDG Ukraine Women as a platform for connecting and supporting technical women in the country, focusing on the GDG communities in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy. The group has held regular online and offline events since March 2013, and has a full schedule of workshops and Hangout events lined up for 2014.
Lynn Root
An insomniac software engineer for Spotify, founder of the San Francisco Chapter of PyLadies, board member of the Python Software Foundation, and member of the Django Software Foundation. I have a business degree in finance and economics, but fell in love with programming in 2011.
Alaina Percival
Alaina earned an MBA and Organizational Management Masters with the Global Partners MBA Program. She's worked in marketing for many years, starting her career in Germany with PUMA, before migrating to the tech industry. Alaina currently manages 19 clients and is an organizer of Women Who Code - a group dedicated to increasing the number of women working in technology. She loves chocolate and has visited more than 50 countries.
Assina Kahamba
Assina is an Assistant Lecturer at University of Lubumbashi and founded the GDG Lubumbashi chapter in March 2013. She has since organized two DevFest events, one of which included local TV and radio coverage, and continues to plan a full schedule of events for 2014.
Pamela Fox
I'm a graduate from the USC Computer Science Department (BS/MS, with minors in 3d Animation + Linguistics). I'm currently living in San Francisco, California and working at Khan Academy on their CS curriculum. In my free time, I like to teach for GirlDevelopIt, give talks, work on side projects, and read great books.
