Excessive colouring[edit]

per WP:DEVIATIONS, I disagree with the addition of excessive branded colouring to this template. there is no reason for this to be the only template in Category:Operating system templates using a non-default colour. Frietjes (talk) 14:56, 25 November 2014 (UTC)

Do the other OSes even have a colour? I would think if you did Silver for MacOS, it would largely disappear due to Wikipedia's default colours. And Windows nowadays looks like a Rubik's Cube on acid with a mis-mash of colours. CaribDigita (talk) 12:19, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
I agree that no additional colors should be applied. There's simply no point in doing that, no important additional information is conveyed that way. — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 01:00, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
