skins for various user groups

Hello, has someone informations about skins for various user groups ? Where can I see which user has which skin in active mode ?

I want something like a red background for an admin user and a green background for a normal user. Are there extensions for my problem ? I found nothing

Paint it black

Hi all,

I think that a skin with a dark background will save energy, as opposed to the current black text on white background. The search engine Blackle uses a dark background. Maybe we should try using an energy-saving skin (based on Vector) on Wikipedia etc.?

"User types"?

Hi,

I'm going to change this page in a second, but I wanted there to be a place to discuss the change, and for others to know why I did it.

The configuration of "user|developer|administrator" might be sort of helpful, but it's very divisive, and buckets people into groups to which they may not always subscribe. For example, the first-time administrator (one of the most common visitors to this page) would not think to look at that column, they would look at the users column. Typing people rather than actions is not super-helpful.

With that in mind, I'm changing it to remove the "user type" column and expanding the "action" column. If you have a problem with that, feel free to revert, but I'd very much appreciate an explanation.

Detect skin on templates
