Nokia Lumia 925 is a smartphone developed by Nokia that runs Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 operating system. It was announced on May 14, 2013, described as a "new interpretation" of the Nokia Lumia 920. It was released in June 2013.[1][when?]

Compared to the Nokia Lumia 920, which weighs 185g and is 10.7mm thick, the Nokia Lumia 925 weighs 139g and is 8.5mm thick, lacks wireless charging and the base model has half the storage space.[4] The Nokia Lumia 925T which is the China Mobile variant (aka TD-SCDMA variant) in China has been announced and released in 2013.

The 2000 mAh battery installed in the phone offers up to 18.3 hours of talk time in 2G and up to 12.8 hours of talk time in 3G. Standby time of the battery is 440 hours (3G). The internal memory storage of the Nokia Lumia 925 is 16 GB and 1 GB RAM. This can be used for storing various multimedia files and applications. There is no external memory slot available in this handset. Users can have access to the 7 GB free cloud storage space.

On April 2, 2014, the Nokia Lumia 930, the successor of the Lumia 920 and Lumia 925, was announced at Build 2014. The improvements are a faster quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and a 20-mpx camera.[2]

Availability[edit]

The phone is available in major European markets starting in June 2013, with an estimated price of 470 Euros.[5][6][when?] It is now available for sale in India through various online shopping sites. The phone is Nokia’s flagship device at T-Mobile in the United States and became available for sale on July 17, 2013.[7]

Technical Issues[edit]

There are some reports from T-Mobile USA users experiencing their handsets being unstable and randomly rebooting.[10] The Windows Phone 8.1 update makes the issue worse and carrier independent.[11]

Stuck processes in the background can lead to poor battery life.[12][13][14]
