KMines is a minesweeper game for the KDE platform, originally created in 1996 by Nicolas Hadacek under the GPL.[1] It is part of the Kdegames package.
KMines has three default grid sizes, an "easy" size (8×8), "normal" size (16×16), and "expert" size (16×30), as well as an option for custom grid sizes. Grid size can have dimensions from 5×5 to 50×50 squares. It is possible to play with just the keyboard. The colors, mouse buttons, and tile sizes are configurable. Some "cheats" are built in, together with a solver, an adviser, and the "magic reveal" function (only for non-trivial cases). Worldwide high scores are available to view on the official site.
