Help:Cite errors/Cite error ref no input[edit]
my edit states no references . The exact reference was provided. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Twiddletwaddle (talk • contribs) 00:29, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Widdletwaddle: Edit the article, look for occurrences of
<ref></ref>, and remove them. There are two such occurrences, and they are at the locations where the big error messages are in the normal article display. ―Mandruss ☎ 00:33, 22 March 2015 (UTC) - @Twiddletwaddle: Pinging again, this time with the correct username. ―Mandruss ☎ 00:42, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- For a new editor the
<ref></ref>can be a little bit confusing. Do as Mandruss suggests and first remove your edits, then read Help:Cite errors/Cite error included ref & Help:Footnotes. Then have another attempt at it .--Aspro (talk) 01:01, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
New Topic how To[edit]
Hi,
How can I create a new Wikipedia topic for a specific product? Is this the place to do that?
Thanks! Terry — Preceding unsigned comment added by TCoupe58 (talk • contribs) 00:33, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- This is not the place to create a new article. I would suggest you read Wikipedia:Your first article. It will explain how to create an article. -- GB fan 00:38, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
TLD pages[edit]
I was recently looking at some pages, such as .ninja, .ceo, and .xyz, and I noticed in this template at the bottom of the pages that there were a lot of pages not yet created. As a new user with little-to-no knowledge about any of the domains missing pages (other than research I will likely do), would it be wrong of me to try and help out by creating those pages, and trying to bring them up to at least the standard of .aero? Or, would it be ok to do that?
On a question I asked a few days ago about musicians, someone mentioned making a draft for a page and submitting it to a "pages for creation" project page. Would that be a better option than just immediately creating the pages?
Also another minor question (as a n00b wikipedia user), does anyone have any suggestions on where to start looking up things to add to my userpage (such as userboxes, templates, whatever)? Or, any suggestions as to what I should write on my userpage?
Thanks for the help in advance. CentralFloridian (talk) 07:06, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- I would suggest only creating them if they are indeed noteworthy by themselves (have received a lot of coverage in the news, etc.), if not, they should just be redirected to List of Internet top-level domains.
- As for the second question, if you're unsure as to whether or not your content should go live in the article namespace and be immediately recognized as an article, you should definitely go the WP:AFC route. Here you can work on the article and get feedback from other users. Or if you think your content's ready, be bold and just start the page.
- And the third question: take a look at WP:UPDC.

SATISH SINGH GAHMARI[edit]
WHY DELETE THIS PAGE — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gahmar (talk • contribs) 12:37, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- Because this is not Facebook. We only include articles on notable people, not people who write their own, pretend, autobiography.
You have repeatedly tried to spam this numerous times as Satish Gahmari, Satish singh gahmari, Satish Singh Gahmari and probably others.
To quote the archives here "it's nothing but a copy and paste of Amit Agarwal with Agarwal's name replaced with his own" - Arjayay (talk) 13:08, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

- If the 'article' is nothing but a copy-paste with the name changed, it is an unambiguous hoax, and therefore vandalism. Do anything remotely similar again, Gahmar, and you can expect to be indefinitely blocked from Wikipedia. AndyTheGrump (talk) 13:45, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- It is then also a WP:Copyright violation. -- Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 14:21, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

Add Scranton Sports Person[edit]
Reference: http://biddybb.com/about-biddy/our-history/ Biddy Basketball was originated in 1951 by Jay Archer, Executive Director of the Youth Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

- @Panicalep: If you feel that Jay Archer meets Wikipedia's notability requirements, then I invite you to create an article about him through the articles for creation process. As for adding him to the list of notable people from Scranton, PA, it is usually best that the subject have an article of their own first and then be added to such lists. Varieties of Squirrels[edit]
Hello... just wanted to know if you could or should add "white squirrels" of Exter, Ontario Canada... I have sent you a link:http://www.blogto.com/travel/2009/10/the_white_squirrels_of_exeter/ ... please check it out as they are the norm there! Thank you Alexander Smith — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.252.253.173 (talk) 23:56, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- The article you've linked says that they are a variety of eastern gray squirrels, rather than a separate species, so we wouldn't have a separate article on them. Our article notes that white-colored individuals are relatively common where predation is low, which makes sense (they are presumably more visible than the gray norm, and accordingly more vulnerable to predators). I'm not sure we need to mention the Exeter Ontario whites specifically, especially since the source is a travel blog. A scientific study giving more information might be worth looking for though - I'll see what I can find. In future, if you have suggestions regarding a particular article, the best place to post is the article talk page - your post is more likely to be seen by people interested in the subject. All Time Love - Will Young[edit]
Please change the entry for the song All Time Love - performed by Will Young. Unable to download files as pdf[edit]
I am unable to download the documents as pdf. Especially the information like list or tables of things.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.215.52.83 (talk) 04:51, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- Do you mean you are unable to download articles as PDFs? I just tried it and it appears tables are stripped before rendering. Help:Books/FAQ seems to imply tables are exported along with the rest of the article. This is either a change that hasn't been very well-documented or is a bug. Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me can come along and help. Scarce2 (talk) 09:47, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

Problems in my Firefox browser history when javascript is on while viewing Wikipedia articles[edit]
A strange issue began a few weeks ago [maybe since Jan 1, 2015] when viewing wikipedia articles: When clicking on a "Contents" link, my Firefox generates SEVERAL EXTRA, identical pages. Also, a more irritating problem is: While reviewing a history list of previously viewed articles, LATER web pages in the 'History' disappear[!!] while reviewing a Wikipedia page (making the currently appearing Wiki the MOST RECENT, and LOSING my LATER viewed web pages). The ONLY way I've found to prevent this, is to TURN OFF JAVASCRIPT while viewing Wikipedia. What happened to Wikipedia? This did NOT happen to me last year using the SAME PC and browser.

Hello Wikipedia, how do you get permission to get a picture on your article because I need a picture on the article Stars of the Sea. A editor called DoRD couldn't find the school Stars of the Sea school in Hervey Bay Queensland. He says its not real but it is. NewbornCircle (talk) 08:55, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- I only understood the first sentence of your question. To get permission from someone to use an image they own on Wikipedia, simply ask them to license the image with one that complies with Wikipedia's (CC BY 3.0 for instance). Check out commons:COM:FAQ for some more information (as well as WP:UPI). Scarce2 (talk) 09:36, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
How do I ask him.NewbornCircle (talk) 09:39, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- That depends. Where is the image hosted? Flickr? Personal website? If it's Flickr, you could just drop him a message and ask (I've had a lot of luck with this in the past). If it's a personal website, and you know his email address, take a look at commons:COM:OTRS (seriously look at this link). Scarce2 (talk) 09:49, 23 March 2015
- Well, I was able to find it on Google easily. So, it doesn't seem to be a hoax. But I'm not sure it's notable enough for an article. Dismas|(talk) 09:53, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
Im confused can you do it for me. go to google images and type stars of the sea logo hervey bay and put it on Stars of the Sea and do it. Thanks if you do it.NewbornCircle (talk) 09:58, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- Please don't erase other people's comments as you did with mine just now. That is considered rude around here.
- Getting back to the image though, the article has more pressing concerns than a logo or image. Your first priority should be to establish the school's notability. You can see the notability requirements by going to WP:N which was also linked in the comment of mine that you erased. In addition to the general requirements there, you can also find more information on what makes a school notable at WP:ORG. Dismas|(talk) 10:04, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- FWIW I've seconded the PROD (proposed deletion), requested an infobox on the talk page, and added QLD to the project. You're entitled to contest the PROD by removing it and the endorsement on the page, optionally adding con= condate= conreason= in the {{old prod full}} on the talk page. The Wiki adventure folks should give you lots of extra-points for a PROD contest, or even a proper fair-use non-free logo upload—the latter takes several hours to get it right for the first time. –Be..anyone (talk) 10:37, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

Naming of children in BLP[edit]
Can you tell me what the current consensus is for the naming of the children in BLPs? I am an experienced editor but have had a long wikibreak. Before I left it was considered that children's names and ages should not be named where not well known for privacy reasons. I removed them here as follows/response https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nathan_McMullen&oldid=prev&diff=653143024. Can you advise please. --Kernel Saunters (talk) 12:01, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- There is no need to include such specifics* and valid rationale per WP:BLP to remove specifics. *With certain limited exceptions such as where the child's name itself has been the subject of significant discussion.-- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 12:33, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Kernel Saunters: And in the above instance, it is not even a matter of interpretation of BLP, it is a clear WP:BURDEN failure. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 13:02, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
Wikipedia profile Images[edit]
When I asked a Wikipedia admin regarding uploading celebrity picture in their profile, Wiki admin informed me that the celebrity should send their image to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org from their email.
after the celebrity send image to that email, Can I upload that image to Wikicommon or how can I add that celebrity image in their profile? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Niyazsky (talk • contribs) 13:33, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- If you know exactly what the permission says make sure that the image exists on commons, or in plain English, upload it, with the license stated in the permission. There are still some things that could go wrong (permission never arrives, permission for non-existing image was ignored, etc.), but the fastest way to figure that out is to be BOLD. As soon as the image exists on commons as, say, wikifun.jpg, you can use it here as [[File:wikifun.jpg|thumb|right|A wikifun photo (2015)]] or similar. –Be..anyone (talk) 14:03, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
Use of "India" word in scams.[edit]

Is there a "Requests for contribution" page?[edit]
There is an article I have had my eyes on for a while now, Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space. The article is in very poor quality for an article about a video game, and I want to fix it. The problem is, I don't think I could do all the editing myself, so is there a place where you can put articles on some kind of spotlight where you can ask people to help work on the article? Weegeerunner (talk) 16:25, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- Have you tried WikiProject Video Games? Robert McClenon (talk) 16:44, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- What should I do once I get to the wikiproject? Weegeerunner (talk) 16:46, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- The talk page lists a category of video games needing attention, and a subcategory of video games needing expert attention. You can add the game to the category by editing the game article itself. You could also try discussing the game on the talk page for the game. Maybe someone else can provide more advice. You could ask at the project talk page what the usual procedure is for asking for help in improving an article. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:51, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- Is there a template I should add that puts it on the list? Weegeerunner (talk) 16:54, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

Question About Thanks[edit]
There has for some time been a feature in Wikipedia to Thank another editor for an edit. It appears that the wording of the confirmation has changed, and that it now asks: "Send public thanks for this edit?" The added word is "public". Previously Thanks appeared via the Notification feature, which I would consider private. What does "public" mean? I know of one way to thank an editor publicly, which is on their user talk page, but that is public. Has only the wording been changed, or has the feature been changed? Robert McClenon (talk) 16:58, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- They show up on Special:Log/thanks, and have for a long time (always?). It's just the wording that's recently changed. —Cryptic 17:01, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

Kathleen Weaver, Mayor, City of Darien, IL[edit]
You do not list the Mayor of Darien, Kathleen Weaver, as a notable person for the city of Darien, IL. Please add her name to Notable persons. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.147.253.140 (talk) 17:42, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hi there - while being a mayor of Darien might make Kathleen notable within the city, Wikipedia has its own standards of notability. Notable topics are ones that are significantly covered in a variety of independent sources, and I don't believe Kathleen would be considered notable. She is, however, listed as the mayor in the article's infobox up top. ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 17:47, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
User contributions won't get deleted on the Wikipedia[edit]
Hello. As I mentioned in the headline, the sad fact is that the user contributions will be saved forever in the history and they won't get deleted. Isn't it a little bit of an intrusion into someone's privacy if the contributions of every user account are saved forever? I mean, imagine enough users who make contributions to their hometown and then contributions about crime articles and so on... Everyone on this world can see their contributions and also keep in mind that what if someone uses my personal informations such as my full name and my addresses and so on. What if he creates an account with my name and if he vandalizes the Wikipedia? Yes, it is possible to change someone's username but although the personal details of my person won't be removed from the Wikipedia completely. That's really a bit cheeky. What do you mean? Samhan Dobo (talk) 18:01, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- I have another question. Is there a possibility that old user contributions will get removed or deleted entirely from the Wikipedia someday or will they be saved for the rest of our whole lifes? If they will get removed someday then how many years later will it happen? Samhan Dobo (talk) 18:19, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- I do not believe there are any plans to permanently delete any edits from the database. So plan on any edits you make to be part of the database for the rest of your life. Edits can be deleted so that only admins can see them, or oversighted so that a smaller group can see them. -- GB fan 18:40, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- You can contribute without login, recorded as IP (internet address), typically changing often within IP blocks managed by the Internet Service Provider. You can use a pseudonym for an account, you can stop to use an old account and create a new account. It's not much and maybe not good enough for EU privacy laws, but better than nothing or Facebook. –Be..anyone (talk) 18:25, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- Yes but it is possible to delete facebook accounts but not Wikipedia user accounts. If the action of the Wikipedia that all user contributions are saved forever, is against the EU laws, I don't see the point why the Wikipedia won't change the way it acts by for example saving the user contributions forever. And also the IP contributions are saved forever in the history mode. That's really messy. Samhan Dobo (talk) 18:31, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- It is not clear to me what you are complaining about. When a user makes contributions under his username, he should be aware that they will be stored for ever, associated with that name. And maybe, by studying their contributions, you can deduce the home towns of some users. But users are not asked to provide their real names and addresses. Maproom (talk) 18:32, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- If someone puts out your name and address or other personal information, that can be removed. Wikipedia:Oversight can remove information so that even admins can not see it. There are still some people who will have access but that is a limited list of people. -- GB fan 18:35, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- Permanent attribution of content is essential for maintaining copyright and will not be going away. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 18:38, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
I'm not sure what the problem is here. Every contribution is voluntary, and users can choose what they contribute. If you feel that too detailed personal information is an intrusion to your privacy, don't give that information. There is no obligation on Wikipedia to reveal your real name or address, in fact I would assume the vast majority of Wikipedia users are pseudonymous, going by self-chosen nicknames and not revealing their real names. JIP | Talk 19:51, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- As for hometowns, I have edited the articles on perhaps 20 towns, one of which is my hometown. Can you determine my hometown from reviewing my edit history? Hint: I didn't include "this is my hometown" in any edit summary. Even if had edited only one town's article, that would not imply that it is my hometown, the town in which I currently live, or a town that I have visited. Your concerns are completely baseless. ―Mandruss ☎ 20:03, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- As an aside, it's actually required that we keep track of which editor has edited which pages. Part of complying with the GFDL (the license under which Wikipedia is distributed) includes providing credit to each page's authors. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 20:24, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- If it might help the concern, there is Wikipedia:Courtesy vanishing: Edits are not removed from the database, but the username is changed, and user pages are deleted so that they can only be seen by admins. —teb728 t c 23:43, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

- As to European Union privacy laws, I would argue that what Wikipedia does is in violation of neither the letter nor the spirit of EU privacy law. It isn't subject to the letter of the law because the servers are not on European soil. It isn't subject to the spirit of the law because Wikipedia provides the right to post pseudonymously, and most editors use that right, and an editor who uses a true name has therefore waived the right to pseudonymity. Stephen Mendel Actor[edit]
Hello, My name is Stephen Mendel. I am an actor. If one does a web search for my name, it comes up many times on the web in general and in many places as a cast member of any number of tv shows and movies on Wikipedia itself. I am a working actor having made my living at the craft for 38 years. I work in television, in films, on stage, and do a great deal of voice work. My work is ongoing. In recent times I have played recurring roles on Mad Men and have guest starred on Criminal Minds, Sons of Anarchy, Allegiance and tomorrow morning I go to work on Revenge. I was on the CBS series Night Heat for 5 seasons/96 episodes. I do not have a publicist or anybody handling my public relations. It is up to me alone to promote myself. To that end I wrote and published on Wikipedia an article about my career. Someone decided to take it down. I wrote it again and referred this anonymous person to my extensive resume and the web references. This person removed my page again.
Today I had reason to look up the series I was on from 1985 t0 1990 and found my name in red which I discovered meant that a page about me does not exist. Would you please assist me in getting my page up and not having it removed by an anonymous contributor.

- (edit conflict) Is Stephen Mendel the article you're referring to? If so, that was last deleted last year and the other time was a year before that. The most recent reason for deletion can be found at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stephen Mendel. At the time of deletion the article did not meet WP:NOTABILITY and violated Wikipedia WP:COI and WP:NPOV policies. The article can only be recreated if the problems discussed in the Articles for deletion nomination are corrected. Note that Wikipedia requires subjects of articles to meet its notability policy and that, on its own, appearing in multiple shows or movies does not meet WP:NOTABILITY. PhantomTech (talk) 02:11, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hello, Stephen. This is a frequent concern from performers and others in public life, but there is not much that can be done about it. Wikipedia is a project with its own purposes and goals, which explicitly do not include promotion of anybody or anything. We have strong rules about which of the things (and people) in the universe may have articles about them, and generally these rules come down to, Have several reliable sources (such as major newspapers, or books from reputable publishers), unconnected with the subject, already published substantial writing about the subject? If there have been substantial articles about you in major newspapers, then there may be a Wikipedia article about you - but you are strongly discouraged from editing such an article, and can do no more than make suggestions about it. If there are at present no such sources, then we cannot have an article about you at all. This may seem hard when you are concerned with your public persona and your presence on the net, but Wikipedia is not responsible for how people may interpret your appearance or non-appearance in its pages. --ColinFine (talk) 10:56, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

I would like to have this old growth forest added please if it's of merit since I feel it has been overlooked.

Clear Lake Conservation Reserve was established to protect its provincially significant representation of old growth eastern hemlock upland forests, mature tolerant hardwood forest and a limnological complex 1 . Additionally, it is an established long-term ecological research site with research potential to undertake palaeoecological 2 investigations of a meromictic 3 lake. Today, it is also recognized for its landscape leve l function connecting protected and enhanced management areas. Elements of biodiversit y include: a significant representative pocket of ‘sparse coniferous forest on bedrock’; old growth hemlock, red pine, white pine and hard maple forest communit ies; and structural characteristics of mature/old growth stands. Clear Lake CR also in cludes important headwater areas, suitable habitat for species at risk (SAR), preferred habitat for area sensitive and provincially managed wildlife, and opportunitie s for ecologically sustainable traditional outdoor heritage activities. Its excell ent condition as an undisturbed protected area and relatively remote character prov ide additional support for the above values and intact ecological integrity. Recen t issues around trail development have highlighted the need to maintain ecological in tegrity of the CR.
Many thanks,

Light refraction[edit]
I am trying to find out what color will you get if you place a red filter over a red object and have searched the internet trying to find out to no avail. My question comes because I was told that if you place a red filter over a red object it will appear white for one red cancels the other. Boxy22 (talk) 09:35, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
- This page is only for questions about using Wikipedia, please direct your question to the reference desk. Scarce2 (talk) 10:51, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Boxy22: It will appear as red. The red filter only stops all non red components of the spectrum, it does not "cancel" red colour. White objects will appear red, as white has a red component. Blue and green objects appear black, as they lack a red component that can pass through the filter. --Fauzan✆ talk✉ mail 15:48, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
can i use the information published at the webportal, also publish it in the wikipedia?[edit]
I am associated with a news website. So, can i use the information published at the webportal, also publish it in the wikipedia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.202.35.55 (talk) 11:08, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hello, 117.202.35.55. It depends, and we could tell more if you told us which website you mean. All information from Wikipedia is required to come from reliable published sources; but whether a source is regarded as reliable is not always easy to determine. If your news site has a reputation for fact checking, then it is probably acceptable as a reliable source; but there are various kinds of site which are less likely to be treated as reliable. For example, if some of the content of the site is generated by users, without editorial control; or if the site is essentially a self-published site by people who are not known as journalists; or if the site often posts material which disagrees with most news sources (for example if it mainly advances fringe or conspiracy theories). You can always ask about the reliability of a site at the reliable sources noticeboard - but note that reliability may vary depending on what information is to be supported. (For example, a specialist magazine may be reliable for subjects connected with its area of interest, but not for other subjects).
- As for whether you can use the information in Wikipedia: if your news site is considered reliable, you may add information referenced to your site to existing articles (and it there is unreferenced material in Wikipedia articles which you can reference from your site, that would be helpful). But don't start adding irrelevant information to articles just because it is in your website. Your connection with the site probably doesn't matter if you are adding relevant material that it sources to articles; but if it appears that you are doing it to promote your website, then this may be regarded as unconstructive. --ColinFine (talk) 14:58, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
Referencing errors on 2014 in Irish television and 2015 in British radio[edit]
Hi, I had a message from ReferenceBot about a couple of parameter errors I made, and wondered if someone could help. These things usually drive me nuts because I can never seem to find them. Thanks, This is Paul (talk) 11:22, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
- Both articles are now fixed. -- John of Reading (talk) 11:54, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, This is Paul (talk) 12:27, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
- To see what you got wrong, this is one cure, and here is the other. In each case, the error message in the article told you what was the unrecognised parameter. --David Biddulph (talk) 12:37, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

Wrong redirect[edit]
I created new article with name " The Haryana Chess Association". However someone deleted and redirect "The Haryana Chess Association" To "Haryana Chess Association" . These are 2 seperate association...please help me fix it — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gaurav10feb (talk • contribs) 13:47, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
- I see that both articles The Haryana Chess Association and Haryana Chess Association currently exist. If both are genuine, and if both are notable enough to warrant articles (both currently lack any indication of notability), then there is sure to be confusion, and some changes need to be made to them. Each should have a hatnote directing to the other, and each article should mention the other Association and explain the differences between them. Maproom (talk) 14:14, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

- Hatnotes are there. I agree that both articles need considerable improvement if they are to remain. - David Biddulph (talk) 14:59, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
Editing Chinas bid for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup[edit]
Hi there, when creating the article Chinas bid for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup I did a grammatical mistake when choosing the title. The correct headline for the article is "Chinese bid for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup". How can that be changed? Thank you in anticipation. Best regards ma75k — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ma75k (talk • contribs) 15:54, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Ma75k: Titles are changed by moving the page. See Help:How to move a page. I'm not sure of the best title though. See search results on intitle:bid intitle:world. PrimeHunter (talk) 16:05, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
A draft about a small group of people[edit]
Dear editors: There's a draft, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Eipomek about a group of people in Papua New Guinea. I don't know how to tell if this is a recognized "people" that should have an article, or if the information should be merged somewhere else. The name gets lots of Google hits, but I am not sure how to interpret the information. I tried posting at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Papua New Guinea, but it appears inactive. Can someone suggest another project whose members might take an interest?—Anne Delong (talk) 18:38, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
- A quick google search turns up plenty to support WP:GNG. You can even find reference in other Wikipedia articles such as Eipo language. There's a redlink in that article to the Eipo people which appears to be the same thing as the Eipomek. If you're looking for good sources to expand the article, you may find some there, but there's no reason to presume this topic is non-notable, as I can find gobs of reliable sources just by typing Eipomek into Google. I'm not an expert in anthropology or linguistics, but the question of "Should Wikipedia have an article about this people group" is unquestionably and emphatically "Yes". As far as looking for sources, perhaps there are more general Wikiprojects such as linguistics or anthropology that could help you weed through some of the sources and help you expand the article. --Jayron32 19:35, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

Complain[edit]
If there is an administrator account blocked my wikipedia account, how can I do ?
But somebody track my editing way again and again. like someone think me is a track spoiler.
I tried to fair write the wikipedia, but always have someone rewrite my editing and change the mess.

Fire Departments & WP:INHERENT[edit]
I have been involved in multiple discussions about whether a certain fire department meets the WP:N guidelines. I am of the opinion that fire departments, particularly those of cities and counties, fall under WP:INHERENT. I am wondering where a good place to carry this conversation on would be. It would be helpful to have it in one location rather than having it pop up on multiple different fire department talk pages. --Zackmann08 (talk) 00:18, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
- WP:ORGSIG would seem to apply. If you disagree, I think that the talkpage of WP:N would be the best place to start. RudolfRed (talk) 01:07, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
Is WikiSource citable?[edit]
If I find info on Wikisource that I want to use in an article here, how much of a WP:RS is it? Buffaboy (talk) 04:17, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
- there is no provenance of the items on wikisource and so being user generate , wikisource itself is not a reliable source. if you have access to the original documents and the document itself is a reliable source, you can use that. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 09:08, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
File move[edit]
I was wondering how I can move the file name. I have uploaded file File:Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six cover art.jpg, originally aiming to be the cover art for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, However, I was so careless that I only named the file Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six cover art instead of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege cover art. Since they are two different things and may lead to confusion, I would like to know is there a way I can rename the file. AdrianGamer (talk) 09:00, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
- @AdrianGamer: Add a {{Rename media}} template to the file page, and an admin or file mover will change the name for you. -- John of Reading (talk) 09:08, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. AdrianGamer (talk) 09:55, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

Article Mohammed Kozbar[edit]
Hi there,
A message keeps coming up for the article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammed_Kozbar that keeps saying that there are not enough links or proof for the references. I am not sure why even though all the content in there has been linked and referenced. Can someone advice please. I believe we followed all the guide lines
