Thanks for bringing life into wikiHow...
Congratulations on Becoming a wikiHow Author Congratulations! You have made your first handful of edits on wikiHow and are now a co-author of our shared how-to manual. Of the millions of people who read wikiHow every month, very few overcome their initial fear of participation to make it this far. I, and the other volunteer editors here hope you will continue editing and help us fulfill our mission of building a complete, high quality, multilingual how-to manual. Again, congratulations on becoming a wikiHow author!

Hi! Thanks for starting [[Remember to Do Something Without Writing It]]. If you'd like the article to get additional readers, you can always categorize it! It's not that hard; just follow the steps in How to Categorize a wikiHow Article. You can even suggest another category in the 'Categories' section of our forums! I hope this helps! If you have any questions, just let me know.

Greetings Question mark,

It has come to my attention that you have uploaded the image(s) listed below. However, you didn't provide a license for them.

Image:Stack envelopes_~BU009219_470.jpg
Image:Hairbow_253.jpg
Image:ColorfulStickyNotepads_440.jpg
Image:Chair_614.jpg

The majority of the unlicensed images that are uploaded to wikiHow come from the following places and are not allowed on the site without a valid CC license or permission:

  • Images from Google Images search or search engines
  • Blogs or forum posts
  • Anime sites
  • WWE.com or any wrestling fan site
  • Websites with copyrighted cited on the bottom of the page(s)
  • Photobucket, Imageshack, or other image uploading sites
  • Facebook, MySpace, or other social networking sites

Self-made images are allowed. If you took a photo by yourself, please reply to this message and I will note it as being OK to share on wikiHow. Alternatively, you can do this yourself by clicking on the image's link above, then the Edit tab at the top, and typing {{Self}} in the text box.

Many people don't realize what is allowed and what is not allowed, so there is an image search available on wikiHow. Please click on the Find Free Photos link on the left hand side of the wikiHow screen to access it. This will search for images within Flickr and Wikimedia Commons with a valid CC or similar license.

It would also be useful if the website URL was given in the summary box to avoid confusion and to help others determine where the image originally came from.

Please reply back to me as soon as possible. To do so click on the bottom link of this message (the "Reply to Sarah S") and leave a message on my talk page. Also, please note that the images will be deleted between 7 to 14 days of this message, if there is no reply or license. Thanks!

Want to play tag?

Copyedit at least one of these articles.

Then, add {{Copyedit_tag}} to another talk page.

Thanks for playing!

WritelfWritelf said:

Please don't remove nfd tags, even if you have improved the article!

At 10:06, Apr 13, 2009

WritelfWritelf said:

We all learn that way. The tag has to remain on so that the article can remain on the deletion list. Only then can be judged if it was improved enough so that it can stay.
Let me know if you need any more help, okay?

Wotcher! I saw your comment on the UIB page! Check out Add Color to Your wikiHow Talk Page (it works the same), or if you want a user page like mine, tell me three colors and I'll get started. :)

Hi Question mark. Thank you for starting a new article on wikiHow!

I noticed that a title you started is very similar to a title we already have. It looks like they might be duplicates! On wikiHow, we consider two articles to be duplicates when their titles are practically interchangeable (even if the content is different). When we find a duplicate, we then work to make sure all the information ends up consolidated on one page, typically the one with the simpler, more commonly searched title. That way, our readers can find everything about that particular topic in one place.

If you agree that the title you started is a duplicate, you can help by adding your how-to advice to the other page. The duplicate page will likely get removed in about a week, and we don't want to lose all the great information you provided. If you don't think your article is actually a duplicate, feel free to leave a note on the discussion page explaining why, and let me know, too. Sometimes we make mistakes, and we definitely don't want to delete it if it is different!

If you have any questions or need help with anything, just reply to this message. Thanks again for contributing!
