EditSteps
-
1Put the gear in neutral. On some Gators this involves simply moving the gear stick into the N while holding the clutch (on some Gators the clutch can be the break pedal) and turning the key. But on the other hand some are more complicated. For some, you might have to pump gas into the engine and rev to prevent stalling, and then turn it over with the ignition.
-
2Get into gear. Once your Gator is started you can put it into any of the drive gears. To do this hold down the clutch while moving the stick into one of the drive slots. The drive slots would be labeled High-low, 1-2-3 (ex.) or simply D.
-
3Drive. Once you're in gear, you will want to press the gas pedal down, and off you go.
-
4Park carefully. When wanting to park the Gator you will want to push down the clutch and put the stick into the P slot. This will enable the parking break and the breaks will be enabled so the Gator won't move.
-
5Back up when needed. If you want to back up the gator simply push down the clutch and move the stick into the R slot. This will make the Gator go backwards when pressing down the gas pedal.

- Always drive with your headlights on if its dusk or dark while operating your Gator.
