Most people bookmark items on the forums. But not many people realize that you can get email notifications when a post has received updated results. This article will let you know how to receive an Email notification when a Forums post has been updated.

    Open your web browser to visit and log in to the wikiHow website. The forums won't let you modify your preferences until you are logged in to the wikiHow website.

    Visit the My Preferences page on wikiHow, to ensure that your email is up to date, otherwise the notifications will be sent to the old-set address used on the account.

    Look for several options. Prepare yourself to check (at the very least), these options below:
    • Notify me when people comment on my discussions.
    • Notify me when people mention me in discussion titles.
    • Notify me when people mention me in comments.
    • Notify me when people comment on my bookmarked discussions.

    Click the "Save Preferences button".

    Allow for the dialog box to update itself and to successfully go away. If your eyes are fast enough, you'll see two little scrolling boxes that show you dialog boxes about your progress for updating your settings/preferences.

These include the "Notify me when people write on my wall.", "Notify me when people reply to my wall comments", "Notify me of private messages.", and "Notify me when I am added to private conversations." if you'd like to keep things tidy, you may check them. But you don't have to at this time. They were a valid feature several years ago, but they are no longer valid options to use.
