MediaWiki runs well on Solaris, but you'll need some GNU packages, which you can get:
- from the Solaris install disks;
- from http://www.sunfreeware.com/ (one package at a time);
- via http://www.opencsw.org/ (a package management system, in the manner of apt or yum on Linux).
