If you’ve installed SugarSync Manager on your Windows PC, managing your synced files across all your other computers and devices is easy. When you sync files and folders across different computers, you’re assured that the file you’re working on, no matter which computer you use, is always the most recent one. You can work on a spreadsheet on your office computer early in the day and decide to pick it up at home at night seamlessly. You can use SugarSync Manager to select the files and folders to sync across your computers, so you have control over what files get shared.

Steps
Part 1 of 3: Installing SugarSync Manager on Your Computers

1Go to SugarSync’s download page. Go to http://www.sugarsync.com/downloads/ and click the “Download Now” button on the middle of the page. SugarSync Manager’s setup file will be downloaded.

2Install SugarSync Manager. Double-click on the file to run the installation. The setup file name is SugarSyncSetup.exe. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup on your computer.

3Run SugarSync Manager. After installation, SugarSync Manager should run automatically. It will reside in your system or notification tray while running.
- If it’s not running automatically, click on the Start menu and find the program under All Programs. You will be asked to log in using your SugarSync account; do so.

4Install SugarSync Manager on all computers. Repeat Steps 1 to 3 on all your computers that you wish to run SugarSync. Ensure you use the same SugarSync account across all your computers or devices.
Part 2 of 3: Syncing a Folder to Your Current Computer

1Access SugarSync from system tray. On the lower right corner of your desktop is the system or notification tray. Look for SugarSync here.

2Manage Sync Folders. Click the SugarSync icon from the system tray to bring up its menu. Select “Manage Sync Folders” from here, and the Manage Sync folders window will appear. This is where you manage all your folders in SugarSync across all connected computers and devices.

3Select folder to sync. The Other Computers columns list all the other computers using the same SugarSync account, with all the SugarSync folders in them. Select the folder you want to copy and sync to your current computer, and click on it.
- This folder should be not yet be in your current computer, and you can only choose from the folders under the Other Computers.

4Sync the folder. A “Sync” button will appear. Click on this to bring out the Sync Folder window. Identify the destination folder in your current computer where this synced folder will be placed. Click the “OK” button once done.
- The folder will be pulled into your current computer, and all the contents from the source computer will be copied and synced.
Part 3 of 3: Syncing a Folder from Your Current Computer

3Select the folder to sync. This Computer column lists all the SugarSync folders in your current computer. Select and click the folder you want to copy and sync to another computer.

4Sync the folder. A “Sync” button will appear. Click on this to bring out the Sync Folder window. Identify the computers that will receive this folder by ticking on the tick boxes beside them. Click the “OK” button once done.
- The folder will be pushed to the selected computers, but they will appear under pending status.

5Log onto the other computers. Go to the other computers where you sent the folder to be synced. A Pending Sync Folder notification will pop up. Click the notification message to accept the folder being pushed to this computer. Once you do, the folder will be created, and all the contents from the source computer will be copied and synced.
