With our technology today, developers are able to make fitness guides accessible to anyone who wishes to use them. RunKeeper is one of the known fitness applications out there. With over 28 million users worldwide, there is no doubt that this application makes exercising more fun, intuitive, and effective.

Steps
Part 1 of 3: Signing Up for RunKeeper

1Go to the RunKeeper website. Open your web browser on your computer and click on the address bar. Just type in http://www.runkeeper.com and hit "Enter."

2Sign up. You can use your Facebook or Google+ account to log in, or you can simply enter your e-mail address and type in a password.

3Setup your profile. You can upload a profile picture, if you want, then enter your full name and your country of residence. Also, type in your weight and your birthday.
- At the bottom of the page, choose which type are you, whether you’d be a runner, a walker, a cyclist, or others, and indicate how many times you’d like to workout in a week.
- Click "Done" when you are finished.
Part 2 of 3: Configuring Your Goals

1Add a goal. Click on the "Me" tab at the top of the page and click on "Add New Goal." Select a task you would like to accomplish and set a timetable for when you want to achieve that certain goal.
- Just click "Done" when you are finished.
- You can see at the top of the page your progress as days pass by.

2Add an activity. Click on the "Log" tab at the top of the page. Choose which exercise you would like to do from the choices given. After choosing, click "Next" at the bottom of the entry.

3Add a map. After choosing an activity, you can now plot your route by plotting a map. Just type a location on the search bar at the top-right corner and click on the points of the map where you will start and end your run.
- Click "Next."

4Enter a timeframe for this activity. Select from the calendar on what date you would like to do this activity and input the time of the day. Select duration on how long you want to cover the given distance of your run.
- Click "Save" to finalize the activity.
Part 3 of 3: Using the RunKeeper App

1Download the RunKeeper app. This app is available on both iOS and Android. Simply go to the respective app store and search for RunKeeper and download the application.

2Launch RunKeeper. After downloading, look for the RunKeeper icon and tap on it to launch the application.

- If you do not want to use any of the two, you can sign in using your e-mail address. Just tap on the “Sign up with e-mail” tab at the bottom and enter your e-mail and password.

4Accomplish your fitness info. Select your preferred distance units (km or mi) by selecting the label and choosing from the choices. Also, enter your gender, weight, height, and birth date.
- Tap on "Save My Info" at the bottom of the screen when you’re done.

5Run your heart out! You will automatically be directed to the map. Just tap on "Go Running" at the bottom of the app screen, and the app will automatically track your run (distance, calories burned, duration, etc.).
