Steps
Method 1 of 3: Installing Homebrew
-
1On your Wii, go to your Wii Settings by clicking on the bottom left button, and then the right button.
-
2Make sure that in the top right, it says "Ver. 4.3X" ("X" being U, E, J or K). This will only work with version 4.3.
-
3Go to "Internet" then "Console Settings." Type your MAC Address into the given spot on http://please.hackmii.com/
-
4At the top of the website, click your version from step 2. Check the "Bundle the HackMii Installer for me!" option. Type in the numbers in the captcha, then press "Cut the red wire."
-
5Plug an empty SD Card or USB into your computer. Copy the folder "private" and the file "boot.elf" from step 4 into it.
-
6Plug in the SD Card or USB into your Wii with the files on it.
-
7Click the Mail button and go to today, yesterday or two days ago.
-
8You should see a red letter with a bomb in it. Click it to begin the process.
-
9After a bit, the homebrew installer will load up.
-
10Click continue. Go to the Homebrew Channel option, then click Install the Homebrew Channel.
-
11When finished, install BootMii as boot2. If you can't do that, install it as an IOS.
-
12You're done!
Method 2 of 3: Adding Emulators
-
1Plug your SD Card or USB into your computer.
-
2Make a folder called "apps".
-
3Go to http://wiibrew.org/wiki/List_of_homebrew_emulators and select your desired emulator and download it.
-
4There should be a folder with the name of the emulator on it. Put that on the SD Card or USB.
-
5Go into the Apps folder on your downloaded file and copy the folder with the name of the emulator on it into the apps folder on your SD Card or USB.
-
6You're done!
Method 3 of 3: Adding Games
-
1Go to a website that distributes roms/isos.
-
2Download a rom/iso of your choice.
-
3In the folder with the emulator's name on it in your SD Card/USB, there should be a folder either called "roms" or "isos"
-
4Put your game in that folder.
-
5When you plug in the SD Card or USB into the Wii, there should be a new "Homebrew Channel"
-
6Enter the channel and select your emulator and your rom/iso.
-
7Have fun playing!
