Method 1 of 3: Installing Homebrew

  1. 1
On your Wii, go to your Wii Settings by clicking on the bottom left button, and then the right button.
  2. 2
Make sure that in the top right, it says "Ver. 4.3X" ("X" being U, E, J or K). This will only work with version 4.3.
  3. 3
Go to "Internet" then "Console Settings." Type your MAC Address into the given spot on http://please.hackmii.com/
  4. 4
At the top of the website, click your version from step 2. Check the "Bundle the HackMii Installer for me!" option. Type in the numbers in the captcha, then press "Cut the red wire."
  5. 5
Plug an empty SD Card or USB into your computer. Copy the folder "private" and the file "boot.elf" from step 4 into it.
  6. 6
Plug in the SD Card or USB into your Wii with the files on it.
  7. 7
Click the Mail button and go to today, yesterday or two days ago.
  8. 8
You should see a red letter with a bomb in it. Click it to begin the process.
  9. 9
After a bit, the homebrew installer will load up.
  10. 10
Click continue. Go to the Homebrew Channel option, then click Install the Homebrew Channel.
  11. 11
When finished, install BootMii as boot2. If you can't do that, install it as an IOS.
  12. 12
    You're done!

Method 2 of 3: Adding Emulators

  1. 1
Plug your SD Card or USB into your computer.
  2. 2
    Make a folder called "apps".
  3. 3
Go to http://wiibrew.org/wiki/List_of_homebrew_emulators and select your desired emulator and download it.
  4. 4
There should be a folder with the name of the emulator on it. Put that on the SD Card or USB.
  5. 5
Go into the Apps folder on your downloaded file and copy the folder with the name of the emulator on it into the apps folder on your SD Card or USB.
  6. 6
    You're done!

Method 3 of 3: Adding Games

  1. 1
Go to a website that distributes roms/isos.
  2. 2
Download a rom/iso of your choice.
  3. 3
In the folder with the emulator's name on it in your SD Card/USB, there should be a folder either called "roms" or "isos"
  4. 4
Put your game in that folder.
  5. 5
When you plug in the SD Card or USB into the Wii, there should be a new "Homebrew Channel"
  6. 6
Enter the channel and select your emulator and your rom/iso.
  7. 7
    Have fun playing!
