If you paid your university health fee you get free primary care visits at the University Health Center (UHC), and you get access to a range of specialty clinics?

The University Health Center (UHC) is a state-of-the-art outpatient facility designed to meet the health care needs of UGA students. UHC is fully accredited by the prestigious Joint Commission. The standard of health care delivery has earned the center its reputation as one of the top college health care facilities nationwide.

Healthy-Vet Program

Effective immediately the University Health Center is offering our student veterans heavily discounted rates at UHC’s specialty health clinics. We are calling this initiative the Healthy-Vet Program.

Who can participate?

Student veterans who have paid their UHC health fees.

What is available and when?

• Vision Clinic - year round
  • 50% off of an eye exam, contact lens fitting, and any tested needed
  • 20% off of eyeglasses or sunglasses, eyeglass packages starting as low as $39
  • 10% off of contact lenses
• Dental Clinic - June only
  • 50% off cleaning & exam
• Diagnostic Services (Lab only) - Birth Month Only
  • Heart Health Screenings. *Orders will be placed under their primary care provider (PCP), and results sent electronically.
• Massage Therapy - year round and birthday special
  • Birthday month: *50% off a 25, 50, or 80 minute massage
  • Year round: *20% off all year

• Physical Therapy - Anytime
  • A reduced-rate visit for their 1st/initial visit as follows: $81 total (including evaluation code and treatment code(s)) - $125 value, a savings of almost 40%.

How do I get the discount?

When making your appointment,

1. identify yourself as a student veteran
2. provide the method by which you will be paying (in or out of network, insurance or cash)
3. mention this special discount rate
