How to Use Monochromatic Colors in Your Designs Using Canva

Creating a design that uses various shades of a color is often referred to as a ‘monochromatic’ color scheme. You can use this technique with any color. As design website ColorSchemer shows, different monochromatic color palettes convey different messages.

    This is the simple design I am going to use in this tutorial. I created this design by searching for a "World Map" and then adding a Text Holder from the Text tab.

    Change the background to a beautiful shade of violet. To do this, all you have to do is click the 'Backgrounds' tab and choose a color.

    Change the color of the map to the same color on your color palette. Click on the add button and alter the brightness.

    Change the color of the banner by doing step 2. Simply click on the color, click the add button and adjust the brightness level.
