It's used either directly or as a Jest plugin (jest-image-snapshot). Haven't done any releases of pixelmatch for three years (works well as it is) — now I feel obligated to make a nice update. :) Thanks to

Turns out https://github.com/mapbox/pixelmatch …, a tiny library for image comparison I wrote for Mapbox GL tests, got adopted by styled-components,
@storybookjs,@fabricjs,@chartjs, mermaid charts, Ionicons, Puppeteer & node-canvas among others. Never realized it got so popular!

I did eventually wrap my head around "proper" debugging tools (inspector, breakpoints, watchers etc.) and honestly console.log is still the most convenient option in almost all cases
