Job Description

This is an entry level position with Wildcard. Although knowledge of Pyramid, Django and Plone is helpful, a willingness to learn and grow are the two biggest requirements for this position. This position will grow in our company to build backend infrastructure for websites, help build the overarching framework for what we do and learn about front end customer interfaces. It will take a bit to get there but we will train you to do it right.

Responsibilities Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code Construct, test and develop custom web applications for clients and corporate use Documenting changes and updates Understand and be able to diagnose server issues. Understand, be able to diagnose and fix programming issues. Perform daily/weekly reviews of systems as needed to maintain uptime

Requirements

Skills And Qualifications

• Understand Python, with knowledge of Django, pyramid and Plone.
• Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python
• Understanding of the differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Github, Stash)
• Problem solving, analytical thinking, work independently and interact well with others.
• 2 years of experience programming
• Position is in Wisconsin, must be willing to relocate
