How to Edit wikiHow Using a Mobile Phone
Contributing to wikiHow is a fun way to share your knowledge with readers. Editing wikiHow is often easier on the desktop version of the site, but it's still doable on the mobile version, too. Editing on mobile is a great way to add details or fix small errors.
Steps
-
1Using your favorite mobile phone web browser, open the mobile version of wikiHow. Navigate to the article you want to edit.Ad
-
2Click on the "Edit" pencil at the top right in the section you want to improve. If you're not logged in, you'll be asked to log in or sign up, since anonymous contributors aren't able to edit from mobile devices.
- Because of the smaller screen size, the mobile editor opens only one section of an article, rather than the full page, so make sure you pick the pencil next to the particular section you want to work on.
-
3Do the editing you need to do.
-
4Click the green arrow at the top right of the editing area.
-
5Preview the article, including your edit, to make sure it looks correct.
-
6Enter an edit summary in the area that says "Tell us what you changed."
-
7Click the green checkmark at the top right of the preview area. Wait for the page to load.
-
8Wait for the "Success! Your edit was saved" confirmation. You're done!Ad
Warnings
- You cannot write new articles on the mobile version of the site.
