How to Upload Your Image to wikiHow
If you want to add your own images to wikiHow, you'll need to transfer them from your computer into wikiHow's system. See Step 1 to get started right now.

1Click on the Edit tab at the top of the article you've chosen to add your photo to.Ad -
2Click on the "Add Image to Steps" button (in Guided Editor), or the Image icon (in Advanced Editor).- In the Guided Editor, you'll find it under the relevant section.
- In the Advanced Editor, you'll find it at the top of the window.

3Choose the step that you want to add the picture to. -
4Click the "Local File" tab to upload a photo you have saved on your computer. Note that this should be a photo you've created, not one you found on another website. -
5Assign the appropriate license to the image. Select it from the drop-down menu. If asked, provide the source information. -
6Determine the size, layout and caption of the image.- Note that placement of large or landscape images on main steps will be automatic, anyway.
- For smaller, portrait-oriented images that are right-aligned, you can adjust size/placement and add a caption. For images in substeps, you can also make adjustments using these options.

7Click on Insert File. -
8Click on Done to return to the Edit page of your article. -
9Adjust the image code further, if you'd like. You may want to change the alignment or size more after you've finished editing and previewing the page. -
10Click on Publish, at the bottom of a page, to save your changes.Ad
