Steps
-
1Measure your waist. Find a long string or piece of ribbon, and wrap it around your stomach, at about the height of your belly button. Once you have that, take the ribbon and apply it next to any standard measuring device such as a yardstick to see your waist measurement in inches.
-
2Measure your "full hip." Everyone's full hip is in a different spot, so stand in front of a mirror and turn from side to side to see where the widest point would be. Once you have that point defined, use the ribbon again to measure.
-
3Measure your bust. Put on your best fitting and most comfortable bra to do so. When taking the final measurement, be sure to have your arms down to your sides. This measure is done around the "full breast", so the widest point once again.
Tips
- When measuring the waist, hips and bust, the ribbon should be snug but not too tight.
- When measuring your hips, be sure the ribbon is level all the way around your body. It should be the same height from the ground for the entire circumference of your hips.
