Python သည် ယေဘူယျသုံး high-level programming language[၂] ဖြစ်သည်။ Python ၏ တည်ဆောက်ပုံ သဘောတရားမှာ ပရိုဂရမ် ရေးသားသူ ၏ စွမ်းဆောင်ရည် နှင် ဖတ်ရှူလွယ်ကူရေး ကို အဓိက ထားသည်။[၃] Python ၏ core syntax နှင် semantics မှာ minimalist ဖြစ်ပြီး ကြီးမား၍ စုံလင်သော သော standard library ရှိသည်. Python သည် whitespace ကို block delimiter အဖြစ်သုံးခြင်းမှာ နာမယ်ကျော် programming language များအကြားတွင် ထူခြားလျှက်ရှိသည်။
