Steps
-
1Find what you want to trade. To start, go through your cards and look for things you are willing to trade, such as cards you have multiple of or cards that don't work well in your deck. Make sure to find cards others would like to trade for, not useless low level cards.
-
2Then find someone to trade with. You can find people at places like trading card stores and clubs, or you can just find a friend who is willing to trade.
-
3Make sure you're getting a good deal. Before you trade, think about the worth of each card. If you are a collector, find out its value. If you are a duelist, think about whether it will work in your deck. It's also just good sportsmanship to give them a card of similar value.
Tips
- Make sure the card you are getting is real. To do this, check the sticker in the bottom right corner. It must be shiny. The majority of cards will have a serial number on the bottom left, but there are exceptions. It must also have the copyright symbol followed by the words "1996 KAZUKI TAKAHASHI"
- It must have a reasonable ATK and DEF. No real card has more than a printed 5000 ATK or 5000 DEF. The card must have the same feel. It has to have a real attribute (spell, trap, divine, fire, water, wind, dark, light or earth) and type. If someone is offering a good card for your not so good card it is probably fake or they are dumb. Try and trade cards with the same rarity. Most wouldn't trade their Jinzo for a Man Eater Bug. Most would trade their Jinzo for another rare card like Super Vehicroid Jumbo Drill or Lava Golem. Also make sure that it is a fair trade. If some guy wants 8 or 9 cards for one good card don't do it.
Warnings
- Only trade with kids your age.
