How to Change the Settings on a Windows XP Computer Without Being Detected
These instructions will allow you to bypass a password and change the settings on a computer running Windows XP Home Edition. You can erase your tracks and nobody will know afterwards.
Steps

1Restart your computer.Ad

2Rapidly press and hold F8.

3When a screen comes up saying to use the arrow keys, press up until you have highlighted Safe Mode (not Safe Mode networking), then hit Enter.

4A warning will pop up stating something about system restore. Click Yes.

5Once it has completed loading, you should see a black background and white lettering on it saying "Safe Mode" on all four corners of the screen.

6Now the fun part....

7Click "Start".

8Then click on "User Accounts" or "Settings".

9Then click "Create Account."

10Click on "Administrative Account" when it asks what kind of account.

11Once you have created the account restart your computer.

12Be sure you have logged off or the new Administrative Account won't show up.

13Log in, selecting the new account you have created

14After you have finished what you want to do on the account restart your computer again.

15Then rapidly press F8.

16Scroll up to the "Safe Mode" and hit enter.

17After that just repeat steps 7 and 8.

18Instead of creating a new account, this time go into "Account Settings."

19Delete your account by clicking "Delete All Files".

20Finally restart your computer but don't do anything else or you will get caught.Ad
Warnings
- BE SURE YOU LOG OFF.
- The account that you log on to in safe mode must be an administrator account that does not have a password for this to work
- Changing or deleting the settings on a Windows computer almost invariably leads to frustration and disappointment. Therefore these instructions are not recommended for use on a computer you actually want to use.
- When restarting your computer use the welcome page start up to shut down the computer.
- This will not work in a place where all the computers are networked together.
