  2. 2
Go to the web site www.ontariospca.ca to find your local OSPCA.
  3. 3
Once you find a shelter near you, you can either go to their web site or go to the shelter in person.
  4. 4
Once you decide on the animal you want to adopt, you will have to fill out an Adoption Application form.
  5. 5
The application will be reviewed by the shelter manager, who will let you know whether or not the adoption has been approved.
  6. 6
If successful, there will be adoption fees. These fees will cover general animal health assessment, vaccinations, de-worming, first year dog license, microchip, and a spay-and-neuter voucher for $25 off.
  7. 7
After the fees are paid and everything is done, you will be asked to come pick up your new family member.
