Steps

  1. 1
Assemble your group of friends. This should be no more than 5 all together.

  2. 2
Decide on what you will share. Now jeans are a great idea but unless you are all the same body type, this is going to make someone feel uncomfortable. You could try a bag, a loose shirt or a sweat shirt of your school that would fit everyone.
  3. 3
Choose what to do. Now that you have an item, you must decide if you want to write on it or not. If the answer is yes then, how is that possible? Will you need a special marker? Will you glue or sew on something? Work out all the details.
  4. 4
Decide on the type of ceremony you will do. An elaborate one with dancing and candles, or a simple hug and a high five? The types are endless.
  5. 5
Decide on when you will start trading the item. Will it be just for the summer or for the whole year? Will you send it off once a week or whenever you feel like it?
  6. 6
At the ceremony, decide on a set of rules. Look at the Sisterhood for an example. If you are still preteen then decide things like, no spilling ice cream on the item, not no boys taking off your item. You can make up totally different rules, too.
  7. 7
Decide on whether or not you will write on the item every time you get it.

Tips

  • Make sure all your group wants to do this. Don't let in a total stranger.
  • This works better if you are not seeing your friends every day. It is more exciting then.
  • Use your imagination.
  • Decide why you want to do this and make rules, ceremonies and other things too suit that idea.
  • Try reading the whole book of Sisterhood or traveling pants. That will help.
