You can include custom CSS and JavaScript that solely applies to the Chat feature.
Modifying chat for all users
Edit
Custom CSS for chat can be applied using MediaWiki:Chat.css. Custom JavaScript can be added using MediaWiki:Chat.js.
As with any community-wide CSS and JavaScript additions, they must abide by Wikia's policy on allowed customizations and the Terms of Use.
Note: Editing of JS pages is temporarily disabled while Wikia performs a wide-ranging security review. Check Wikia's Technical Update blog posts for updates.
Personal changesEdit
You can add CSS and JS to your personal global CSS and JS pages (on Community Central). This will load in your changes into all chats on Wikia.
NotesEdit
- An older method used to add Chat CSS and JS has been disabled - if it was used on your community, you will likely need to remove it from MediaWiki:Chat-welcome-message.
