Exceptional convenience

You can complete your NEJM Review CME exam from the comfort of your own home or office, on your own schedule, with two months to complete an open-book, multiple-choice exam. Exams are comprised of 50 questions based on clinically relevant articles from a six-month volume of NEJM.

Case-based, clinically relevant questions written by a physician for physicians

The NEJM Review CME Program is carefully constructed by practicing clinicians whose mission is to give you the most important information from the most clinically relevant articles in NEJM: information you can use to advance your practice and improve patient care.

Cost-effective

The NEJM Review CME Program allows you to earn CME credits for as little as $2.99 per credit — far less than other CME sources. And you can maximize your savings while doubling your credits by enrolling for two consecutive exams (100 credits) at a savings of $79. Enroll in the next exam now

Here’s how it works:

  1. Review the Program schedule and enroll for one exam or two. Each 50-question exam covers one volume (six months) of NEJM articles.
  2. When the exam arrives in the mail, use the citations and online links to reference the articles on which the questions are based. If you are an individual NEJM subscriber or have institutional access to NEJM.org you can access the articles online.
  3. Select the single best answer for each question and return your answer sheet.
  4. You will receive a comprehensive critique of the answers with your score, along with reference information, providing a complete educational review.
  5. Complete and return the optional Program evaluation, providing important feedback on the Program’s quality and effectiveness.
  6. Upon successful completion of this Program (a score of 70% or better is required, with one opportunity for remediation), you will receive a certificate of completion from the Massachusetts Medical Society for 50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ or 50 AAFP Prescribed credits.
