    I know this has been said a million times, but sometimes you have to pause and think about the immense cruelty it takes to willingly break the sacred bond between a mother and child. It is our single strongest human connection. I just can't fathom the soullessness of some people.

    Hmm, Nikki Haley should examine poverty in America. She'd find that 3 million US kids live in "extreme poverty"--less than $2 per person/ day, the same standard for extreme poverty in Congo or S Sudan. Some US kids have worms and other parasites. Happy to take Haley to show her.

    Who benefits? As we said: Assad, since it facilitates his offensive operations and his long term strategy. Remember, for all the “regime change! false flag!” cranks dire warnings, we’ve seen dozens of chemical weapons attacks, and Assad has faced essentially no consequences.

    Russia said wait for the OPCW report on Douma before making any accusations, now just before the report is likely to be released Russia is attacking the OPCW. As usual, Russia tries to delay judgement, then attacks the judges when judgment is coming.

    McClatchy found *over $100 million* in suspicious Russian real estate deals with Trump since 2008. When you consider how little Trump is really worth (it could be as low as a few hundred million) $100 million looks like it'd be a very large number to him.

    Great that Canada is a co-sponsor of the decision that we have proposed to the conference. Will allow OPCW to carry out independent attribution of CW use in Syria and work towards broader reforms. It’s time for global membership to show we won’t allow CW use to become the norm

    Canada is proud to support the Special Session of States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention. The rules-based international order is under threat of erosion - the increasing use of chemical weapons is a symptom. We must stay strong and united against this threat.
