    I find Hackathons useful when you already have a projects and volunteers can have dedicated time to learn the system, add features or fixing bugs. I also find Hackathons like events useful for learning on a topic. Besides, I thought that Hackathons are not cool anymore?

    100% with Hera on this. I have seen many Hackathons that are a waste of money and volunteer time. What do you want to achieve? A new technical solution? A Hackathon is probably not the way to get there.

    I have so many thoughts on this as a recovering hackathon go-er and attendee. Will be writing up why most hack events are a waste of time and money unless the motive and post-hack support package is clear. Organisers have the best intentions but the format isn't suited to this.

    Hebrew is a language that tends to exaggerate - everything is really big or massively horrible, it's part of the figure of speech. It makes my life in English hard, since this exaggeration is not part of the culture and I have to correct or edit myself a lot.

    I don't like the phrase Tech / for good. We think that good or bad are universal, but unfortunately it's not the case. What about tech / data for equality vs. tech / data that are harmful?

    I also learnt that the body still doesn't completely recover from birth after 6 months. I still have work to do on my pelvic floor, my feet are still swollen and I carry 5 more kg of fat reserves from breastfeeding. Yet, I'm thankful for my female body every day for.

    Six months ago I gave birth to a smiley curious little baby girl that looks like a 🐣. Life with her is full of laughter and she teaches me patience and kindness every day. Happy 1/2 birthday Lia!

    Why coffee shops close at 4 pm in ? A coffee shop in Tel Aviv, for example, stay open until late. Is that because people prefer a pub instead of a coffee shop after 5 pm?

    Shout-out to the best work place, , that sent me to a Keep in Touch day in Manchester and did everything to make it as easy as possible to take Lia with me. In theory this should be the norm with every employer, but we still have a long way to get there...
