    I’ve been watching a show on TLC all morning and in that time I’ve learned that the way brands market things to middle-class moms is fuckin wild I’ve seen two ads for a shredded cheese that contains cream cheese somehow and the hook is “make some lasagna for your special family”

    She had more evidence than most survivors have, and her rapist pled guilty. She's STILL questioned and threatened for talking about her rape. Don't ask why women don't report. This is why.

    The worst messages for me srenf the random death/rape threats or profanity laden nonsense - it's the messages from otherwise normal people who are willing to use any shred of non-evidence possible to convince themselves that what happened to me (and to many others) isn't real

    We are in a death spiral in which a desire for *security* (Michel Foucault) has so sufficiently replaced *education* that not only have schools literally become prisons (Angela Davis), but we are unable to educate the population to even understand this or act differently.

    So what I'm getting is that "fearing for your life" is a valid reason for officers to shoot unarmed people, but NOT to NOT shoot armed people The basic rule is to be in favor of more shooting

    this ultimately leads to a serious critique of the systems and its incentives: if you are charged less for making incendiary (and perhaps outright false) ads, aren’t you going to make more of those? fact that Facebook ads haven’t been regulated for years is borderline criminal

    here’s a very important distinction no one really ever dug into: HRC’s CPM cost was much higher —dollars higher — than trumps because her ad engagement was lower trumps team figured out how to get very low charges bc their ads were inflammatory

    How do you go from unknown kid to having a verified twitter account within days if there isn’t some collective agenda being pushed, like its sooo obvious.
