    We're pleased to see focus on tech driven by patient need and ethical development. Where AI tools are built on patient data, they also need to be built on respect for people's rights and interests. Privacy yes but also fairness, equity and public accountability

    Today we can announce that we're going to set up an NHS AI Lab - in partnership with our pals at the Accelerated Access Collaborative. We're going to focus on practical AI tools that will make a difference to patients, and we're going to embed data ethics in all of our work.
