    A2: An open license makes it simple to be clear re: which permissions & restrictions travel with my work. If they person using the work is following the terms of the open license chosen by the author, the person does not need to contact the author for prior permission.

    A2: What if 10,000 people want to modify the image? Are you going to write a custom license or contract for each one of them? Not likely.

    A2: Imagine wanting to share a photo with ten people. What if two of them wanted to use the image commercially? Do you need a write a license for each of them dictating the terms of use? Will you need a lawyer to write the licenses?
