So freaking cool: Killer collaborative work by the and teams to implement babel-preset-typescript. Trying out babel7 beta w/ 4. Even type errors eloquently show as warnings. That tiny 14 line config => preset ;-)

Tip for getting your code merged into open source projects: the variable you want to maximize is “from a ten-second glance does it look like this person knows what they’re doing?”

This is such a inspiring way to start out 2018. Let's support open source. Go to your boss, ask them what it would take to sponsor and _invest_ in one of these projects. I'm interest to hear their answers.

Is webpack hard to pick up? Well not really if you start small and build up from there. It ticked more boxes for me than grunt and gulp which were just limited by comparison. Webpack seems to have a solution for everything and there are great people around to help you on the way.

I've got a version of babel-loader locally that is passing an ESTree-compatible AST back to webpack@next (no double-parse). Anyone have a large project using that is also compatible with webpack 4 alpha already? Wanting to do some profiling.

If you have a project that uses Babel and have tried webpack 4, we'd love to have you try this out! Looking for real world examples that we can test to validate big perf wins w/ Babel and lazy parsing.
