Hey! HBO's Watchmen is totally free this weekend!!!!! (June 19th through 21st) It's a show that people should make time to watch if you haven't yet. Then, watch this incredibly good interview/roundtable with Damon Lindelof. Incredibly insightful.

Another thing worth noting on the topic of j-school and media internships: if you're young but not on your parents's insurance, it's incredibly hard to take a "job" that doesn't offer benefits because they won't consider you full-time

makes me so damn sad to pretty much only see Black women and Black queer folks talking about Breonna Taylor today, despite the fact that her awful murder is a PERFECT example of the extreme anti-black violence Black women often face at the hands of police

People keep telling on themselves and have never learned what media amplification is. But sure. This is the kind of dude who would have defended printing KKK enrollment forms in the paper even though it helped facilitate KKK recruitment.

NYC Has Become A Dystopian Novel: What Happened After 8pm Curfew I’ve been to many protests and marches during my life, but I’ve never seen anything like what we experienced last night. I think everyone around the country and world needs to understand what’s happening here.

There is still a pandemic. Police are sending people to hospitals. They are deploying tear gas even though the virus is respiratory. And no one in their right mind is going to comply with contact tracing after this.

It’s long, long past time for reporters to stop printing this kind of thing on background. These people’s consciences simply don’t matter if they aren’t acting on them. And journalists shouldn’t be in the business of aiding them their self-delusion. We’re not confessors.
